Special Olive Oil

Hi guys, How is everyone today? Got a good one for you. I was surfing the internet looking for new and unusual recipes to try out. One recipe called for Extra Virgin Cannabis Olive Oil. That hit me right between the eyes. What a great idea, extract the THC from the marijuana using olive oil. Well I love olive oil, I use it for so many things, and I'm crazy about marijuana. So who could ask for a better combination. I especially like the idea of using a pressure cooker. Makes things go so much faster and better. Well I have the pressure cooker, the marijuana, but I don't have enough olive oil. So I'm going to get some and give it a try. Why don't you too and let me know how yours turned out. To understand what I'm talking about I have a video that does just that. Enjoy

"Up in Smoke" Original Trailer

Today is payday and I'm venturing into town to pick up some goodies for a special dish. I saw some wonderful sounding recipes and I'm going to try one tonight. I'll let you know what I decided and if it was any good or a waste of good pot. In the meantime here's the original trailer for Cheech & Chong's "Up in Smoke". It was the movie that changed society's view of marijuana. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

How to make cannabutter

Hi guys. I'm sorry that I didn't add this sooner but I assumed that everyone knows how to make infused butter. People think that it's hard but actually it's rather easy. Takes a little time but really no effort at all. Here's what you'll need: A medium saucepan, One pound unsalted butter, two cups of water, something to strain the pot from the liquid, and the most important ingredient........pot. Use about 1/2 to 1 ounce of weed. The amount depends on the quality of marijuana and the strength of the high you wish to attain. This will come with your personal experience. First crush and mix the pot, water and butter in the saucepan and heat to a rolling boil over a medium heat. Let it boil for about 2 to 3 hours adding water so it never boils away. This prevents the butter from burning. After cooking and cooling just enough to handle the grounds strain the liquid through cheesecloth, or a fine mesh stocking or strainer. Squeeze the grounds out by hand to get every last drop. Chill until the butter sets, and pour off the remaining water. You're all set to start cooking. Have fun!

Help

Hey you guys out there........ I really need some help. My wife is gone for week or two and I have this problem. I'm a good cook if I cook for other people but for myself, no go. To top it all I just got an ounce of really good shake, (all small buds), and I'd rather use some of it for cooking rather than smoking it all. Have any suggestions?

The Standard Fallback

Went into town the other day and ran into a friend of mine. He had been to a marijuana dispensary and purchased some brownies. He told me that they were OK but just OK! So I explained that it is so easy to make your own, even if you never baked before. I told him there are several ways to do it but the easiest is to go to the supermarket and buy a box of brownie mix and follow the instructions. Only thing is you add as much pot as you like. Here's where you have to make a few decisions. One, what kind of pot are you going to use? Two, which method of mixing them. First and most important, choose the right pot for you. If you don't want to get too stoned use swag, leaf or mediocre pot. If you really want to get wasted use the best bud that you can get your hands on. Again the high depends on what you use and how much.
Now here comes another decision. How to get the THC from the pot into the brownies and into your stomach? Easiest way is to just clean the pot, grind it up fine and add it to the brownie mix. It works fine but you do get some green grit in your mouth and teeth that can be avoided. Also the taste isn't the most pleasant. If you want to avoid the drawbacks of quick and easy extract the THC from the pot first. Again just grind the pot but this time render it in butter. Yup good old real butter. Melt the butter and saute the pot in it slowly. The THC is soluable in oil. Strain the green out of the butter and use it to make the brownies. I prefer the second method because you not only don't you have grit on your tongue and leaf in your teeth you get the benifits of the sweet taste of the bud (if that's what you're using).
I saw my friend again and he gave me a sample of some that he had made. He used the first method. Yes I had grit and leaf in my mouth but it was worth it. He made them with really fine bud. P.S. I use about one gram per brownie. Use what you need to get the results you want. Have fun.

Back again

Well here I am again after a long, long hiatus. Why you may ask? Was he so stoned that he couldn't type? Or was he so satisfied with his pot recipes that he couldn't stop eating long enough? To tell the truth it was neither. I was in the real world working for a living. Time has finally come for me to relax and do what I want, that is kick back and enjoy life. I retired a few months ago so I have the time to write and have fun.
Out here in California, where I live, Medical Marijuana is legal. Not only in it's normal green form but as oil and as edibles. Yup, it's true, here you can go into a dispensary and buy a brownie, candy or even ice cream. Can you imagine taking care of the munchies before they start! Well I tried it. Didn't work. Sure the brownie was potent but let me tell you it didn't take away the munchies, just made them worse.
Anyway just thought I'd let you know I'm here and would love to hear from you, especially the stories that go along with the recipes. Thanks and happy eating.
